MISSION
The mission of the Center for Spectator Sports Research is to strengthen relationships among members of the industry by 1) providing outreach activities to the spectator sports industry; and 2) enhancing training and educational opportunities for students.
The Center will focus on two primary core concepts:
1) Business
2) Education and Training.
For the Business portion, the Center aims to conduct customized, retainer-based and syndicated research for members of the spectator sports industry. With respects to Education and Training, the Center also plans to collaborate with leading sport research organizations and provide educational and training opportunities for industry executives and students.
OBJECTIVES
The Center for Spectator Sport Research was created to fulfill the following objectives.
Produce knowledge in the sports industry through educational programs, training, and research (alliances with organizations and individuals)
Create and offer an integrated product line for the Centerís education, training and research initiatives
Provide industry insight and experience to students
Create and increase intern and job opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students
Develop proprietary products for the sport and entertainment research industry
